Lesson 1 – Begin Anew
“It’s not what you do not know that is retarding your progress on the path, but what you think you know. Knowledge of truth filled with strains of error thoughts produces discordance, which is projected in the external world as dis-harmonies of life, yet one cannot be given up without the other. To begin anew, you must empty the vessel of perceptions deemed trustworthy, and carried with them will be the impurities of false beliefs. Give up the greater to remove the lesser.”
As we give up what we think we know we de-clutter the mind to accept the great inflow of wisdom and truth. Students of ancient mystery schools were told to leave their perceived enlightenment, their comprehension of what constituted reality, outside the door, and they were then directed to ponder single threads of truth until they realized in consciousness.
They were learning to be co-creators with their Divine Consciousness by seeking a change in mind and heart, in the way they viewed themselves and God.
“I am willing to give up everything I think I know, including all false beliefs, in exchange for fresh insights into the verities of life.
As I release it all, I feel the energy of my entire force field – every thought and belief, all convictions – being lifted up, flowing upward into the light to be transmuted. I see and feel this happening now.
As the last vestige rises out of the shadows, I can truly say… I know nothing. I know nothing! All thoughts and beliefs have been given up to be purified. My consciousness is clear and clean, free, a vacuum, ready now for a new infilling. I am ready.
I am now receiving the new inflow of divine thoughts and perfect patterns from Spirit. I feel the Mind of spiritual understanding and divine wisdom entering the crown above my head and flowing downward, filling, filling, filling. I do not try to think. I let the one Mind think for me.
I rest in the Silence.”
