Lesson 20
Know the Dangers of Spiritual Pride
“Spiritual pride, erects a wall in the one mind as a barrier to the light of wisdom and understanding. Darkness then prevails, and there is vulnerability to conflict and duplicity, for pride leads to arrogance and pretension. It is self glorification in its lowest form. To fulfill the goal of life, serve with humility while steadfastly holding to Truth.”
To be spiritually proud is to be ego-centered, and the ego is the tempter. “Lead us not into temptation.” What temptation? Feelings of superiority, self-righteousness, and judgment.
God alone is what we are, the one and only Self, but when the ego’s influence is felt, all the good is thrown out the window. There is no such thing as a “good person.” The only good is God being that person.
